Pendants are comprised of the pendant body and bail. In most cases, the body will be the main attraction of the pendant. The bail is the mechanism by which to mount the piece onto a chain, bracelet, anklet, etc.

Though bails come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, a standard pendant bail typically looks like this:

The size of the bail (usually determined by measuring the vertical height of the bail) is an important factor when deciding which chain to get for your pendant— if the chain is too thick, you will not be able to put the pendant on it! We believe that it is
